Pre-Paid Funeral Plans

At Dey’s we understand what it means to plan your own funeral and the courage it takes. That’s why we go the extra mile to make sure everyone who comes to see us to discuss future funeral arrangements is looked after sensitively and with the compassion and professionalism that has become a hallmark of our business.

  

Funeral plans are a secure way to pay for a funeral director’s services and ensure that when the time comes, loved ones are not left with a bill to pay or difficult decisions to make.

Our funeral plans are completely secure as all pre-payments are administered by Ecclesiastical Planning Services, which ensures that every penny of your money is ring-fenced until a funeral is needed.

We are proud to offer funeral plans that have been created and priced for the people of Doncaster and the surrounding area. Unlike national funeral plan providers, when you take out a plan with Dey’s Family Funeral Care, you can be sure it has been put together with you, a member of our community, in mind.

Funeral Plans Question and Answer:

Here are some of the questions you might want to ask, but please call us if there is anything else you would like to know about the plan.

  1. Is there an age limit or health restrictions?

      No – You can purchase a plan at any age and in any state of health, but please see the note on instalments below.

  2. Can I pay by instalments?

      Yes, there is a range of options – please ask for details. Payment by instalments usually costs more than a single                 payment but the additional cost is held within the plan and used for the funeral at the time of need. If you stop paying         at any time, the money will be used as a contribution towards your funeral only and our costs are not necessarily               covered.

 

   3.Can I buy a plan for someone else?

      Yes, please mention this on your application – we will need the name, address and date of birth of the person to be           covered but we will send all correspondence to you.

 

   4.What if funeral costs increase?

      The plan is guaranteed to cover the funeral director’s costs listed in the plan details as long as your requirements don’t         change and we carry out your funeral.

      The plan can also include an allowance towards third party costs such as the fees for cremation or burial, medial fees         and payment to a minister or officiant. These costs are outside of our control. If these costs, as listed in the plan details,       are not covered by the plan value at the time of need, there will be a balance to pay. Please refer to the Terms and             Conditions for more information.

 

   5.What if I move home?

      If you move, you should be able to transfer your plan to a funeral director near your new home. However, there may be       additional costs depending on local prices. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for details or speak to a member         of the team.

   6.What if I die away from home?
      We recommend that you take out travel insurance when you go on holiday, especially if you travel abroad, which             usually covers bringing you back home if necessary. Alternatively we can quote for the extra cost involved.

 

 

    7.What if I change my mind later?

       If you change your mind within 30 days of taking out your plan you can receive a full refund. If you cancel the plan            after 30 days, you’ll receive a refund of the original amount paid, excluding the management fee.

 

    8.How do I know the money will be safe?

       Funeral pre-payment plans are provided by Ecclesiastical Planning Services which is part of the Ecclesiastical group.            Ecclesiastical has been protecting people, property and funds since 1887 and Ecclesiastical Planning Services is a            registered provider of the Funeral Planning Authority and adheres to its Code of Practice and high professional                    standards.

       The funeral plans we offer give you exceptional financial security for your money. Every penny of the full value of every        plan (excluding the initial management fee) is held securely and ring-fenced to pay for your funeral for your peace of          mind.
